Why You Should Join
Membership is your assurance of support and protection.

The full benefits of union representation are provided exclusively to members, and members must maintain their membership to receive representation throughout a grievance process.
Your voice and participation are essential to our collective strength.

Join us today to help build a stronger faculty and a better future for our college.
You can make a difference by lending your voice at general membership meetings or by contributing your skills to one of our key standing committees, such as the Bargaining, Membership, or Grievance committees.

We strongly encourage you to not only join but also to get involved.

How do you join?
-
You can become a member of your union by paying dues.
-
Dues are 1% of your base salary (not including overload, summer pay, or stipends).
-
You have two options for paying dues:
-
You can sign up for e-dues (ACH bank transfer from your bank account after each paycheck). E-dues are paid over the course of the year every 2 weeks.
-
You can mail a check for 6 or 12 months of dues.
-
I'm not sure I can afford it.
-
Can you afford not to?
-
The union helps protect your contract, defend your academic freedom, provide representation and assistance during disciplinary meetings, fight for increased pay, and improve working conditions.
-
-
You do not have to pay your dues all at once! E-dues allow you to break your union dues down into 26 payments spread over the year.
